Hi, I’m Angela!
I’m a therapist, wife, and mom who loves plants and a good outdoor adventure.
Through my cultural experiences living across three countries, I’ve come to understand that family is an essential foundation for growth. I believe families thrive when built on intentionality, purpose, and faith. My journey led me to work with children and adolescents who have navigated complex experiences, where I witnessed first hand the incredible resilience of families and vital role parents and caregivers play. This experience fueled my focus on trauma, attachment and family dynamics, areas of significance in adoption.
With over ten years of experience as a mental health counselor, I have focused on understanding and meeting the specific needs of families formed through adoption. Which led me to created Strong Family Roots, a compassionate and safe space dedicated to support you and your family unique needs. My goal is to create a consistent environment and relationship of trust and collaboration that strengthens your values and family connections. Please do not hesitate to reach out for a free consultation, I am committed in providing you a personalized care that addresses your specific needs and situation.

She helped me understand the “whys” behind the “whats” and frequently helped me see things in a new and different light.
My 4-year-old foster son and I have worked with Angela for over a year. Angela has been so helpful in so many ways. She helped me identify and understand various behaviors my foster son was exhibiting, as well as taught me many skills and gave me many tools I could pull from to help in different situations with him. She helped me understand the “whys” behind the “whats” and frequently helped me see things in a new and different light. She was also so great at understanding me and how I was feeling and helped me make sure I was taking care of myself. She is very professional and personable and has a true gift for connecting with her clients. She has supported me and advocated for us in such a special way. It has been a true blessing that we were given the opportunity to work with her! – MR
